Review the documented coating directions before selecting exact grades for a drawdown or production trial.
TiO2 for CoatingsControlled TiO2 trial guide
Evaluate a titanium dioxide sample against a named current grade in the same formulation, equipment and process window. Record sample identity, batch, document version, addition rate, dispersion conditions and agreed outcome measures, then repeat promising results at production scale before approving a commercial change.
Scope: This is general guidance; product-specific facts require an approved exact-grade source.

The items below are possible evaluation fields, not universal specifications or guaranteed outcomes. Select only the observations and methods appropriate to the customer's product, process and acceptance criteria.
| Application | Baseline information | Possible comparison fields | Production confirmation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coatings | Binder system, carrier, PVC direction, dispersion method, film preparation and current pigment. | Opacity, whiteness, undertone, tinting, gloss, viscosity, finish and exposure observations as relevant. | Use the intended mixing, application, drying or curing conditions. |
| Plastics and masterbatch | Polymer, additives, loading or dilution, equipment, temperature profile and current pigment. | Dispersion, opacity, whiteness, undertone, surface appearance and processing observations as relevant. | Run the intended compounding and conversion route using recorded conditions. |
| Ink | Resin and solvent system, pigment loading, dispersion method, print process and current pigment. | Dispersion, viscosity, opacity, whiteness, print appearance and process behaviour as relevant. | Confirm on the intended ink-making and printing equipment. |
| Paper | Furnish or coating system, addition point, dispersion method, basis or coat-weight direction and current pigment. | Brightness, opacity, shade, dispersion and process observations as relevant. | Confirm under the intended paper-making or coating conditions. |

TiO2 for CoatingsMatch the polymer, masterbatch or conversion route to documented products before requesting samples.
TiO2 for PlasticsUse the application hub to review ink, paper and other supported product directions.
Choose an ApplicationA named baseline is strongly preferred because it establishes the current formulation, loading, process and result. Without it, differences are harder to interpret and repeat.
No laboratory result guarantees production performance. A promising result should be repeated and confirmed under the intended production-line conditions before purchase approval.
Record the exact sample identity and current TDS version. Note any SDS, COA or other documents reviewed, but confirm their applicability to the selected product and transaction separately.
Provide the application, current grade, formulation or process context, target result and planned trial method so the sample request can be reviewed.
TITAN sample request workflow is the operational source for qualification inputs. Product routes link to the current approved application pages; the trial sequence and evaluation matrix are general quality guidance and do not guarantee an outcome.
