Titanium dioxide for masterbatch is selected by carrier resin, pigment loading, dilution ratio, dispersion, process temperature and downstream use. A TiO2 masterbatch grade should be evaluated in both concentrate production and the final plastic application, because easy processing in one stage does not guarantee the required opacity or color in the finished part.
Share carrier resin, target TiO2 loading, dilution ratio, extrusion temperature, pelletizing and filtration setup, downstream polymer, opacity and undertone targets.
Check torque, pressure, screen residue, dispersion, pellet quality and final-part color at the intended dilution. Customer formulation and production-line testing are required before final grade approval.
